What to put in it.
Five lines are usually enough for an honest first opinion, including the opinion that we are not the right desk, where that is the case.
- What you need: the facility, the amount and the currency.
- Where: the jurisdictions of the borrower, the security and the cash flows.
- When: the date the money is actually required, not the date you would like it.
- What stands behind it: the security available, in plain terms.
- Anything already arranged: existing facilities and offers on the table.
